Henkel, a global supplier of adhesives, sealants, and coatings, has inaugurated its Inspiration Center Jundiaí in Brazil. With an investment of around 38 million euros, the 5,000‑square‑meter complex will serve as the new R&D hub for Adhesive Technologies in Latin America.

The concept leverages Henkel’s advanced global innovation center approach present in Düsseldorf, Germany, and in Shanghai, China. Henkel designed the facility to transform technological know-how into impactful, sustainable innovations.

In addition, Henkel designed the new hub in Brazil as an ecosystem for technological co‑creation. “The Inspiration Center Jundiaí reinforces our commitment to advancing innovation in the Latin America region by capturing the trends and needs of the region,” says Mark Dorn, executive vice president of Adhesive Technologies at Henkel. “The facility will bring our portfolio to life for our customers and enables close collaboration internally and externally. Based on an ecosystem of experts, cutting‑edge technologies, and integrated infrastructure, we are accelerating the development of solutions that enhance the region’s competitiveness and set new standards for the global industry.”

Sustainable architecture and technical capability

The infrastructure is designed to enhance the speed of innovation for the company. Henkel is focused on high-performance and sustainable solutions across various industry segments, too. “With cutting‑edge laboratories, we are elevating our technical capability to a new level. By bringing together customers, suppliers, universities, and strategic partners, we are creating a collaborative hub capable of transforming challenges into opportunities and driving the sustainable economic growth the future demands,” explains Nigel Fay, corporate vice president for Innovation and chief technology officer at Henkel Adhesive Technologies.

Proximity to the Latin American market

The choice of Jundiaí as location underlines the company’s strategic position. Henkel prioritizes the Brazilian market for Adhesive Technologies in Latin America. For André Baron, president of Henkel in Latin America, the investment is testament to its long‑term commitment to the region.

“Latin America holds unique conditions to play an increasingly influential role in the global economy, driven by abundant renewable energy, strong production capabilities, and deep technical talent. Located in one of Brazil’s most dynamic industrial and academic hubs, home to more than 800 industries and recognized excellence in engineering and science, the Inspiration Center Jundiaí now acts as a catalyst within this ecosystem. By combining agility with strategic vision, and strengthening advanced technical expertise through education and development, it accelerates innovation and amplifies the region’s capacity to shape the future,” he concludes.
